About The Creator

My name is Allison Darty, but most people call me AD. I am currently a student at Northwestern State University. I am majoring in Communications with a concentration in Sports Media and a minor in Business Administration. A major goal of mine is to use my platform as a future sports broadcaster to spread awareness to mental health within all communities. As someone who has struggle to find ways to cope with my own anxiety and depression, it has always been important to me to reach out to other people dealing with mental illness that have no idea how to deal with it. I never want anyone to feel as if their mental health is a burden, so I created The Sunflower Academy to offer a free space to explore mental health and for people to feel connected with one another.
